I like what Irma Bombeck said: "The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together."

Wow! I had an instant of jealousy. Thinking, dang, Dick made it over again. Then I started looking at the pics. I was there. Still don't think you will get me on the ocean in a kayak. maybe in a smoother area like a lake. It is cool that everyone gravitates to Jim and Sandy's. I miss you all too. Man will I be glad to finish with these projects. Started on the roof but will have to take some down as it still doesn't have enough run off slope. Oh well. At least it is easily fixed right now and I do have enough room to work with. Hope the weather stays good for a few more days. It sucks when you get on a roll and then you have to quit to go to work. You tend to get in a hurry then and that is when the mistakes start to happen.

Ah well enough of that. It is now above freezing so I can go out. Talk to you all later.

Oh, I met a lady in Redding on Thursday with my name. She told me our name in Cherokee means Little Wings.

That makes sense, Illa meaning "little wings" in Cherokee.

I found out that in Japanese, it means "Earth."
