RnBz ONLINE

Hey! Good news, Rick and Bonnie are now online. Their email address is: sphincterbreez@embarqmail.com Drop them a line. I'm sure they are still on the road a lot so there might be a delay in an answer.

Opps, take that back. Bonnie is now a housewife. So she's not on the road.

Lisi in the hospital

Just in case some have missed the news. Lisi is in the hospital with her legs going black. As you must know, this sounds very serious. We can be sure, 'God really loves Lisi'. We can commit her to him in the assurance that he will do the best for her. Let's pray that Lisi will make good decisions. I'm also praying for Leuria, Lili and Jess. This has got to be hard on them. Lisi's hospital room phone: 360-414-2000 she is in room 408. Love you guys. Peter and Karen

the things you can do with a mac

I've changed a lot, Ben hasn't!

Ben and Illa dropped by for a quick visit. They picked something up that I had ordered for them. They had to run cause Ben had a chemo treatment in Redding the next morning. He and Illa looked real good.

Dude!!! wheres my truck?

Oh the modern marvels of technology. As you can tell Jim has to get out his GPS in order to find his way home. After about 2.5 hours he finally got the idea of turning to the left 45 degrees and "poof" there it was".

I hoped this worked.

If you dont look like this after smoores, your not having a good time.

~~~~~~Can you identify this bunch~~~~~~
I think I can identify most here, but who is that handsome young man in the center? By the way, this is the time when mom left Ben, we all lived in the very small trailer in the background. This was in Sunnyside, Washington
wow glad im not that guy or girl as the case is
60!!! amazing.
You know, when you think about it, its not that old. Especially when the youngest is 50. I myself never thought i would make it this far. Its only by Gods grace and mercy that i have. He has really blessed me when I really think about it. I could be laying in a gutter or under a bridge or homeless or whatever.
I really cant wait to see everyone at the reunion. i really hope that EVERYONE will be able to be there.
To keep the Love in the family
Click on the title above.
I suggest that there are 2 things that should not be discussed on this blog.
At least till reality hits you
1. People that are frightened to use a computer that actually works and are fun. And companies that release software before its ready.
did I say Windows Vista?
2. Those who are stuck using stone and chisle to communicate.
I bet you still have beta in your VCR and cant figure out why it wont work.
Thats OK I still love you PC users anyway. And I am still the youngest :)
A walk up Stoney Creek...spring flowers
Sandi and I took a walk up to a creek on the north fork of the Smith River. The wildflowers are just beginning to bloom and so it's very beautiful at this time of year. This particular image is of a Darlingtonia plant, a species similar to the Venus Fly Trap.... but larger and more voracious.
The other one is a PPF (Pretty Purple Flower). It's really only about an inch high, but very colorful. Ahhh....simple mind, simple pleasures.
Computers are complicated
For some of us computers are not complicated. They're not for me, but only because I've been working them since 1994. At first they were a totally new world. It was like moving to an entirely new culture and learning a new langueage. At the time I was frustrated at what things I find simple now.
Anyway. Ben, Illa, Glenda, Lydia all are trying, or going to try Apple computers. All because they believe the benefits of learning new things will outweigh the frustration with learning a new operating system.
Dick has been the main evangelist for Macs. He has done a good job in communicating the ease of use of a Mac. The problem however, he is not there to school his converts in this new 'language'. Glenda does have Teisha, who is also an Apple user.
Ben keeps trying to do different things, common things he was able to do on the PC, but has to relearn how to do it. Fortunately for him, he is not alone in his conversion, he has Illa, who also has a new Apple, and we all agree is ten times smarter than Ben, so he will do well.
What I've discovered about computers, and what I like about them, they are a wonderful way to communicate (I think Jim agrees with this). But what I've also discovered, is computers don't make you a better communicator, they are only an aid. They only facilitate what priorities or desires that you have already established. For instance, Hobo's have free access to library computers, but most still don't email their families! (I know, silly example)
Following my silly example: Why don't hobo's email then? It's not because they don't have the time. Nor is it because they don't have the talent! Because they have lot's of time to learn, they can develop the talent. It's because, at this point in their lives, either they don't see the value, or their heads are too jumbled to want to learn a new skill, or they just need to develop the sense that others find their input in their lives as important. So, if any Hobo's are reading this, WRITE YOUR MOTHERS! Peter
