Your Family History

I just did a bunch of data entry for our family's genealogy on the Gringo side. Randy had provided me with some documents where the names, on mom's side, ended with mom's great grandfather. After some searching, I found a continuation of that family name of  "Brayton" on another site. As it turns out, the family continues (near as I can tell) , and obviously with many names changes, way back to 1475! Just click on the title above, it'll take you to our genealogy site. Type in my last name and it will provide access.

BTW, there are some conflicts of names dating way back there, I'm not sure if I messed up on the data entry, or my source had it mixed up.

I still have  a lot of entry to do, mainly on regarding specifics of branches still alive, our  kids etc. I thought it more interesting to get the ancient history done first. So check back from time to time. Peter

Hey Randy,
I am still waiting to find that Rich Uncle from our past. Any luck????
This is so great to find missing family. I knew about Geri but not about the other Ben. To bad we didn't know about him before he died.
Great Work

@Uncle Peter: that was a great find locating that Brayton record to extend what we had so much further back. What an interesting part of our family history too. The Last Will & Testament you found on this lineage was just incredible.

@Aunt Bonnie: Thanks. I appreciate hearing that. It has been an awesome process putting the pieces all together. I enjoyed the process very much and learning about my "blood" was very satisfying on a certain level. Sorry about not locating that rich uncle :) I will keep looking.

Yeah, the part where he leaves his slaves to his wife and kids! And so many died in their 40's. I hope I find more, the more I Fyshe.

Yes, I know that they were blue blood, as told by Glenna, on her side, I will look forwards to seeing that said. They had so many kids, who could be rich, laugh!!

Also I did find out, we do have all the sisters alive. Two of the brothers have died, seems they die, first. Talked to Geri tonight, and her daughter, as her birthday is today. Also my be my uncel Charles, gave me the blood transfusiuon. She is looking forward to seeing Dick, I hope she can help him out. Also she thinks she knows the place where I was bapized, in SF. and it was the two sister's I met when I went down that way.

Jim asked, "what are we going to do with it". Good question- don't know the answer, but good question. Personally I'm putting a salve on a bad conscience. Some of you know, mom had spent years putting together a genealogy. She showed it to me a couple of times, trying to get me interested. You know how it is, you want your kids to enjoy what you enjoy. She had told me she traced our family to one of the knights of England. Anyway, I kinda feigned interest. She could tell I wasn't really into it. She died shortly thereafter. After she died, our grandmother Beryl tried to get the genealogy from Mark, so did I. I suppose it ended up in the trash. Well, tonight I've been reading up on the roots of our family. The chain is broken along the way, but within the same generation of our last family member, there is a Sir Edward Fyshe (pronounced Fish) who was beheaded in one the local political struggles at the time!

I'm not certain this is the same person mom was talking about, but I kinda feel 'now all her work is being recovered'. I've looked up to heaven, and said, hey mom, this stuff is really interesting! And I mean it. (I haven't heard anything back) Also, mom wanted our family back together again. Well, life seldom develops as we dream it might, but I think it helps that we recognize what bonding we have. Hey- fact is, I know families who all grew up together, and can't stand each other. I happen to love all of you; even Dick!

It would be great to check the church out, as it's, now closed, but it was the Rose Parish, close to where they were. I would like to see if Dick is listed, their, Geri, could help him, look into that matter, I plan on checking it out, when I go down that way, to do the paper work,........ it helps having all the correct spelling, and knowing the names, she did give me,...... also the hosital, records, Dick I don't know if people signed in to visit, or just walk in, as he may have been listed.

I am trying to remember, the name she gave me,... he was in the navy, I know that. I was also wondering if Jess' brother-in-law, could help me, as he was also in the navy as a chaplain...
