eye dr

took chuck to the eye exam today. the nurse made the comment that she thinks that it looks like the issue with his eyes may be related to a thyroid issue. so they made 2 more appointments with some specialist. we see them on the 25th. in one eye he has 20/25 the other wasnt as good. but dont know what it was.

Does he have a thyroid issue now that you're aware of?

This is interesting. I learned when I had Graves (hyperthyroid), it can be fatal. It can have a million symptoms, and be very confusing to determine, until tested; however, it is one of the easiest treated diseases there are! I'm looking forward to hearing his results.

Dick,
What to you think of the overall care he's getting from the VA?

i think that the VA here at Mather is very good. they seem to be moving chuck along pretty swiftly thru the system. the drs are mostly military or vets themselves and the ER is ran by the UC Davis school of medicine.
These people have alot of respect for those vets that have served our country and want the best care for them as possible. after all, they have earned it by serving and protecting our freedom.
