dang you Jim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you had me all excited there. nice going. i expecting some jerky. I do know the place you are talking about though. next time you go up you ought to take my Kimber. I know its getting lonely.
OK then: Personally, I'd never kill anything out of enjoyment, without eating it. But,I'm not a great proponent of anthropomorphism; nor am I a vegan. However! To what degree does an animal have a soul is an interesting question. Last winter two guys drowned while trying to rescue their dog from freezing waters. (By the way, the dog made it back safe without their help.) I wonder if they got cramps from eating to soon after JOE'S STEAK AND SHRIMP HOUSE. But, to me, if anything has a soul, it's a dog. If you want to listen to something amazing and incredible about animal souls, listen to this (be sure to listen to the whole story. Oh, it's not about drowning animal lovers): http://www.radiolab.org/2010/jan/11/animal-blessings/ But be sure to listen to it 'before' going to JOE'S STEAK AND SHRIMP HOUSE.
I had to shoot a raccoon the other night as it was after my chicken. I had been letting it alone all summer as well as the skunks. They were leaving the chicken alone except for getting the eggs. As long as I left out plenty of feed so the they could eat after the cats and dogs they would leave it alone. Don't know why this one was after her. Had her by the neck. It was a yearling. Hated to dispatch it tho. It was cute and soft.
I do believe that all living things have a soul. That includes trees and plants. Yes weeds also. Just because they are irritating to us doesn't mean they don't have a purpose in the mainstream of life.
Anyway, my 2 bits. Too bad you didn't have a picture. Even of a dollar.

Good thing you warned me not to click the title. I shoot hunters.
What's your gun of choice?
Would you like me to notify your local Sheriff or Game Warden?
Which brings up a good question:....... aw forget it.
