Enjoying God's Creation

I've been reading some of Jim's blog and his various experiences while back East. Jim has the capacity to look through the man made facade and see what human kind has covered up with our foolishness. As most of you know, Karen and I live on a creek. It's a beautiful spot and we don't mind sharing it with our neighbors who are not so fortunate. There is a nearby home where the residents are renters. Occupants of that house come and go so it's hard to get to know them. But there's another reason we don't get to know them, most are city folk in heart. Country folk tend to love quiet, solitude and privacy; while many city folk don't often respect these things. Yes, everyone wants these things, but on their own selfish terms. It's not uncommon to hear loud blaring music from that house, dirt bikes without mufflers and trash and beer cans along the trail after they have been down to the creek; makes it really hard to want to get to know them.

There is a God, and he loves his planet, and he requires us to be good stewards of his creation; even in light of the fact that he will be renewing the entire planet soon. Check this scripture out: Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.

Have you noticed that humans are diverse and preoccupied with all sorts of good causes and concerns? Personally I hate politics, but living in the best country on earth has provoked me to appreciate those honest politicians (even Democrats) who are watching out for the liberty our country affords. In addition, I'll probably not get so radical I'd join in with the Sierra Club, but I do appreciate how they have helped curb the destruction of our planet and the wanter slaughter of anything with commercial value.

Behind all the ailments of persons and mankind, is the refusal of man to allow God to put his head on strait and see things as God sees them! When a man's head is on strait he'll not disrespect, demean, or rob his fellow man. Nor will he, for very long, feel it is OK to selfishly exploit God's creation. But most of all, that person will increasingly grow in worship to the God who provided all the beauty we see around us. Peter

Yes, but I figured out why he so concerned with the environment, he's worried about encroachment on bigfoot habitat! Hmmmm, speaking of genealogy.
