Bolen Lake

Andrew and I went on an overnight camping trip to the Klamath. On the way home we went by Bolen Lake, a small campground without any people. I'd recommend it. We didn't camp there as we ran out of stove fuel and no fires were allowed.

Looks like a great place. I want that kayak !! I had a canoe once and made the mistake of showing Illa how stable it was. It didn't tip..., but Illa still doesn't like them ?!!

Ben,
If I lived where you do with all those lakes and waterways I'd have a kayak in a heartbeat. Wait a minute, I have two already! Anyway, I understand that there are a lot of places to kayak in your area. I think that the kayaks are much more stable and have less drag in the water. Come on over, and we'll go kayaking around here.

Everyone, have a great Fourth.

Hey when we went to Wallowa last week we decided we want to live in a paradise like a lake area .. any great area left ? are there any left a person can live in? I'd love to move out of this valley, he has such bad allergies!

Suzanne,
We've not been to Wallowa yet, but I understand it's really beautiful. In fact, Jack, my brother, has been doing a campground program there for about 15 years. Every year he tries to get us to go there, and so far we've not made it.
The pic that I took is about 1 hour from Cave Junction. It's an area that is very different from CC, but yet so close. Very dry, but yet very beautiful.
