How About a Fire Update

BnI; what's the status of the fires around you all? I hope you have a fire break around your place! Are you working the fires? How are you both feeling? If your feeling OK, I know a guy that needs some wood split; he's still milking that minor surgery he had.

Two new fires just broke out !! Funny you should ask JUST when they do ?!! The 3 week old fires are getting to be less finally. There is still smoke in the air but not nearly as thick.
A would have figured you had all the wood split by now !! We are both doing better as far as health goes. Illa is trying to start working three days a week until we get a better cushion monetarily wise. Seems the vehicle registrations all come in on the same month and it is a crunch on our monthly income. I am hoping once that is over she quits working and stays home with me again. After all my years working away from home I was really looking forward to us being together for a change.

Thanks for the update. Yeah, we were hit with two vehicles and a trailer in a month and a half. Hey, do you know Ohmah's cell number? I'm going to tell it do get that wood split for Jim.

As much as I think about dogs and intelligence...., I don't talk to animals, sorry !! (well, at least I don't understand what they say) So, in answer to your question, no, I never asked for his number !!
I would guess maybe Jim and Sandi have it?!
Forgot to mention, we have about a half acre of lawn around the house. We are hoping to get someone to come over and mow it. I was thinking of helping Jim with his wood if he will help with the lawn. I even have a pair of scissors he can use for free !!

Lucky for all of us, the doctor said I could now pick up a kayak paddle. I guess that wood will have to wait.

It's hard to believe how bad the smoke is unless you're in the position of having to deal with it every day. Andrew and I just got back from an overnight trip to the upper Klamath and the smoke is thick there. On the coast we're lucky, the wind is generally on-shore, so we don't feel the effects of the fores.

BTW, Ohmah's phone number is unlisted.

I figure if he can make a call, he can split wood; oh, maybe he has bark recognition!

I don't know if I'd call what a dog has, as intelligence - after seeing what is common to dogs. However, I've seen some people French kiss their dogs after seeing the dog just finish his dog-like behavior. So I guess it depends on where the mark is for intelligence. Maybe compared to a dolphin, which can't reach it's own hind end. In which case, is only a perception of intelligence. Hey, did you know that some Parrots nearly have as great a vocabulary as highly trained primates, in sign language? And they can talk!!! I think Parrots are actually aliens spy's, but that's another topic.

Peter !!! You just made my case, thank you. Some animals are as bright as people !!! Or should I say, Some animals are as dull as people ?!! See? It all depends on the perception and or interpretation !!
Here's a thought too !! You eat dog, dog eats you. Who's the smart one ?!! Or are you going to say at least you cook the dog first ??!
