REAL fireflys in Iowa.
I know that Bonnie and Rick see these all the time, but they're a real treat for us.
If you click the title I've started a trip log.

Yeah, they look a little red and swollen. How is the trip? I loved traveling cross country. There is so much to see. If you go thru S. Dakota, go to Mt. Rushmore before you go to Crazy Horse Monument. They are both awesome.

totally c rushmore first an visit hte ice cream shop, 2 die for lol, wonder how crazy horse is doin, remember goin there an had the head of the horse mostly there an workin on teh indian, its huge, rushmore can fit on the forarme of the indian that is pointin, totally spectactular, i remember meetin the wife of the guy that started it all, in person
Hey, don't forget how cool it was to meet and get the autograph of Joe Firecrow Jr! That was really neat getting to meet him (he is a well known Native Flute Player). He is the son of Joe Firecrow Sr, who has done narration for some of the National Geographic shows.
I remember eating that icecream at Rushmore BJ, and looking up at those Presidents. That was so neat. Definitely have to see that before Crazy Horse though. I also want to know how close they are to getting the University set up there, which had been in the works.
Could only read parts of your log. There are pics, I think as they are gray spaces over parts of the postings, and some of the text overlaps. Pretty cool huh! We loved stopping at everything educational as well and intriguiging. You miss all that neat stuff when you fly. Makes me want to take a road trip again. Pretty soon maybe I will. Have places to go, things to see, souvineirs to replace. Have a lot of fun.

it looks like your giving the town the finger, :)
Jim, looks like you finally found evidence of Bigfoot, well Mediumfoot anyway.
Peter,
that could be babybigfoot.
Those critters are pretty cool, wish they were in Oregon.
i saw them when i was in South Carolina in, oh so many years ago. its pretty cool to sit on the porch, have a beer and watch the yard light up with them.
