This is a great video; but it does raise an interesting question: Is your life something you should play with?

Maybe it isn't as dangerous as it looks on the video (I'm wondering how many people have actually fallen) but, there are a lot of activities, like climbing Everest for example, that have serious odds in the negative. After all, what we know for sure, in our present existence, we have one time on this earth. Do we want to risk it for a little adrenaline rush?

Peter,
Your response tells me that I need to take back my gift certificate that I ordered for you with the extreme sports package. It included hang gliding, bungee jumping, and parachuting (solo). OK, I guess you have enough adrenaline in your blood. That's OK, sign design and fabrication must run in your blood, so that's a good combination.

I waited until I got home to watch the entire clip. I don't think I can go since I don't have a belt that clips into a hanging wire. I looked for a wire as it crossed the open areas and I didn't ses one. I guess the open areas aren't as dangerous as they look and you're only allowed to fall off the areas that are narrow and against a vertical wall.

Made me nauseaous, but hey, looks like a hike that Ben and I would like. Did someone else do this or did you Jim or Peter? Like how come you didn't explore the holes and caves???

I found this info on the net. Too bad they didn't have video's when they constructed this: "El Caminito Del Rey is in Malaga, Spain. It was constructed (lord only knows HOW it was constructed) around 1901 for the purpose of controlling some sluice-ways from the canyon walls into the valley"

You have to wonder how safe the 'safety' lines are. I suppose a experienced climber would know.

As far as dangerous things go, maybe to a kid this wouldn't be. Supposedly sky diving is fairly safe. You might know your Uncle Chester (younger than I), he's led a pretty dangerous life; crashed a plane; sky dived all his life; was a drag racer; was a grunt in VietNam; Rode bulls, fought professionally (lost to Jerry Quarry's brother) I saw him featured on TV when he saved a bunch of skydivers who were in a plane that caught fire. He played in a movie as an extra, 'Terminal Velocity'. He got the job cause he could sky dive. He told me when they saw his ugly face, they hired him to play a heavy. By the way, he's the guy who ran up some tower looking for the good guys. Anyway, he's lived to tell about it. But just barely.

geez Peter you are getting old. I think that the smell of ink and vinyl have clouded your perception a bit. Remember that Jesus went out for a boat ride in a storm and even stood up. I quote him "Oh ye of little faith"what is life if we dont take some chances sometimes and get out of our comfort zone? Remember to not stop and smell the roses, cuz there might be a bee in there that will sting your nose.
As for uncle Chester. I think the most dangerous thing that he ever did was to pick on me when i was little:)

Remember, Jesus calmed that storm. He didn't have to worry about falling in since he could walk on water. The real advantage is omniscience, you'd never want to play chess with Jesus, he always knows the move you'll be making.

I don't think we should walk on egg shells through life. But there is a kind of irrational blindness young people have; like driving like idiots. Which, by the way, I was the kind of idiots when I was a teen.

yes but that would be cheating, and im sure that he would let me win a game or 2 because he is kind and gracious.

you know i often think about Jesus and the disciples walking along a trail or a road or along the beach and wonder about their conversations. I am sure they werent always spiritual or religious.
"did you hear the one about the rabbi, the jew and the roman.....?"
