What! Do you mean to tell me that there are other types of music other than Rock and Roll? 60's and 70's music, yeh, baby, that's where it's at!!!!
In the last two months I've had the pleasure and honor of listening to James Taylor and ZZ Top, live and in person. They both were a great experience!!!
I love live music. Maybe it's because I'm so musically deficient.
o.k., 50's and 60's music here. 70's didn't have much for me !! classical and tradition music, western style music from the 40's thru the 60's and yes, even some of the new christian music for me.
I got a mp3 player for Karen for Christmas, just a small one, holds 1 gig. Lots of free music available online. For those that don't know. A gig can hold over 500 tunes, in some formats!
You can also download all your cd music to an mp3 player. Basically have all your music on one small unit. By the way, when I say free, I don't mean, 'taken without the artist knowing. The free music is usually folks who want to get better know, or Christian musicians who believe, "freely you have received, freely give". Some are higher quality than others.
Personally, I really like 50z 60z softer rock, and Motown, but don't listen to it. My favorite song of all time is 'Immortal Invisible' by Cynthia Clawson. Get it and turn the volume way up. If your standing, you'll be knocked to your knees.
Hey, ever thought about the phenom of this whole music issue: Why humans tend to idolize the singers; what it's doing to us- why we react physically; why different types are appreciated by different ages, cultures etc.; what it is actually doing to our psyche; think about it, don't be an automaton! Ah..ha. Now we know who anonymous is !!!
