Are you sure this isn't FRIDAY the 13th. ??!!

Well, I left to head to Sac this morning on the bike. Illa stayed home. I somehow missed the road to Chucks and ended up in the foothills and since it was getting late returned home via Reno.
Just outside of Susanville I wrecked on the bike. I went straight when the road curved right !! Ended up about 25 feet higher than the road up a goat trail I took instead of sliding the bike. Needless to say, bike needs repairs now but not major stuff, things I believe I can do. I had my leathers and bucket on so I ended up better than I should have,
I guess 10 hours on the bike is for younger people. I got home and was BUSHED !! Fell asleep in no time flat. lol

I will go down again. Hopefully thurs. or friday, but, this time I will take the car and a responsible adult.(the boss)
I have no idea where I went wrong. I even had the google map with me . Course, a lot of the times we used it we found out new roads added and old roads closed, not to mention roads listed that don't even exist.
I did find out with the union we(Chuck), need to go and talk to the "Benefits Trusts" for Calif. retirees to further explore avenues they might have.
I tried to call them but didn't get thru to anyone, yet.

Glad that you're OK. Sounds like you were pretty fortunate and someone was on your side. I guess it turned out to be a pretty stressful day.
I hope Chuck is amiable to talking to the Benefits Trusts department. No new news here regarding Chuck.

Was there a hairy being standing in the middle of the road? It would have been about 7ft tall, with feet that look at lot like Jim's. Is it all coming back to you?

Ben,
If you would hold off awhile before you go down. Mitch is making good progress with Chuck, but feels that he is right at the edge of Chuck not going along. Mitch feels that any more involvement right now and Chuck will shut down to everyone.
Mitch did get him to go the a clinic today for blood pressure and found to be "dangerously high" (193/108). Unfortunately they couldn't do a thyroid test. He is picking Chuck up at 7:00 tomorrow morning to get some blood and lab work done to test the thyroid. Also, he got him to agree to go for a mental evaluation, next Wednesday, I believe. It would be with he same doctor that had started the process a year or so ago. He believes that with documentation from the doctor Chuck may qualify for a medical disability.
He has also made calls to Chuck's mortgage lender to see just where he stands on the process to stop the foreclosure. They're to call him back tomorrow.
So, as it stands Mitch is making good progress.
If you want to call him, here's his number. 916-879-5296.

That is good news. At least about what he has found so far. High blood pressure can make a person do strange things too. I am assuming that the doc. started him on some medicine to try to control it. That should help Chuck so that he won't feel like his head is about to blow off. Help him feel more in control anyway. We will wait to hear from you on things. Illa
