Great day!!!!!!
Click on the link if you get bored. We went to a place called Lyons Ranch looking for early spring flowers. The views were there, but too early for the flowers.

I think the rifle is a Savage .270. Rachael got it for Andrew last Christmas. Andrew is starting to reload his own shells. He bought some just before we went up to shoot and they're $41 a box!
As to the lookout, good question. I don't think that they rent it out, but actually, I don't know. It is in Redwood National Park so you may be able to do a search and find out.

ya the price of ammo has risen dramatically. thank the soaring cost of precious metals such as brass and copper.
the last box of 45 acp i paid 18.00 for. however we have a dicks sporting goods that JUST opened here and i did get it for like 13. wish i could reload my own. I have a friend that reloads his own and it cost him about 9.00 for 50 in 45.
the 17hmr are like 12.00 for 50.
Oh and the lookout is cool tooo.

Ben, there are several look outs around here that DO rent for weekends, etc. I know the waiting list is a couple of YEARS long, but you may have some connections in the fire fighting world that might just get you bumped on to some short list or something...
I can find some names in this county if you're interested. Let me know.
that would be great Sandi. Illa and I have always liked the idea as opposed to a motel . if you could could help that would be appreciated. we had looked on the net before but only saw them down south.
I'll check into it and email you the names. I know someone who worked on retrofitting a few of them.
