family

I just wanted to tell you all I love you and am glad to have you each in my life. The trials I have been given have really opened my eyes and heart to be able to recognise how unique each of you are and how blessed my life was and is . Without the learning via the pains and woes, I really don't think I would have ever awakened to acknowledge just how lucky(blessed) my life has been. Thank you all for the openness you display and I hope some day to be able to show you each how special you are and meeting each of you has influenced my perception to life. Ben

Ben,
I read your post and watch the way that you are facing the things you are.
Now that I am facing some physical issues in my life, I look at you and am encouraged. i know that we are not to place our faith or hope in man. i see how your faith is seeing you thru. and I am trying to use that same type of hope in mine.
i love you and illa and know that if I need an understanding ear, your there.
thank you

Ben and Illa,
I too am glad that you are and will always be a part of my life. When a person has any type of problems, their spouse always feels the same experience. Illa has been great for you. What great kids, and what a great companion.

I believe that we plan our own trials and life experiences for purposes of growth of our soul.
I believe that these trials are really the things that make us grow closer to God. Yes, I believe we are closer to God and each other after going through these times because it helps us realize the things of importance in our life.

The one thing that we cannot ever rid ourselves of is our family.
We are all fortunate if we allow ourselves to grow and learn and appreciate what we have through the
experiences we call life.

All of our lives could have been so different if hadn't been for caring people that thought of others first. What a great example we have, as well as such a high ideal to look up to.

Now, when are you coming over to CC again. Painting the wall can wait for a cold winter day. Fall in CC is awesome!!!!
Carpe diem,
Love, Jim

I can attest to the fact that CC is more than awesome in the fall. If you get there around the first and second week of november you can watch the whales from Battery Point light house. Its pretty cool.

I'm in hearty agreement with Dick. You are an inspiration to all of us. Of all the men of us, your the orneriest, roughest rascal; yet, like the cactus apple, you can get some real sweet fruit, even if it has some of the thorniest hide!

And don't feel like your the only one with a hard head, I think, that along with an extra vertebra, we also have extra thick skulls (especially Dick). But God is faithful, he knows just what we need to bring us around. We all have one ultimate objective, that's to make a difference to those we love and to hear God say, 'well done'. As I see it, God loves us so much, he wants to help us in that process. The great thing is, like we have discovered in our older age, even though we lost a few early years, God is giving us some quality time now. It's never too late to make a difference in your life, your family, and children as well. God has truly blessed us.

They say that sometimes, a man will not look up until he falls flat on his back.

How ever many vertebra you have Ben, I hope that you know you are so cherished, so loved. And you always have been.
