Pretty wild weather around here this time of year. -40 wind chill in lots of places. Not something you'd want to be out in. Those poor folks who were stuck, were stopped by 'white out' conditions and snow covering the road; which was one of the roads coming here (the road to Vail), made the freeway a parking lot. We're able to take another road to Denver if that one gets bad again. Kids were playing outside the other day for a couple of hours, about 20degrees with wind about 30mph! But that's what they do around here. I know BnI and family would love it, being skiers and all. For me, I'll take a minimum 70 degree. Peter

PETER, I GREW UP 110 MILES WEST OF DENVER IN A TOWN CALLED RIFLE. I LOVED IT THERE AND SKIED IN ASPEN AND GLENWOOD SPRINGS BEFORE IT WAS POPULAR. ILLA

Then you know the area! Peter Jr. works in Breckenridge, but his home is Fairplay, South about 40 minutes. As you know, this is really beautiful country, but it is harsh. Everything is hard to do. So I guess Bieber is like the tropics to you! I told you we babysat while the kids partied. Where they were it was -34 without wind chill. Karissa said it hurt to breath that cold of air.

We'll be leaving tomorrow to Denver, spend the night at a hotel then fly Thursday. Peter
