Don't Drive on Old Tires!

If I believed in Karma, I'd think I was being punished for calling my sister's snotty! In case you can't make it out- you know how when you're traveling down an old freeway, and you see scraps of black stuff on the side of the road? Well, when you see that about thirty/forty miles east of Boise, know that one of those scraps of rubber is my trailer tire. But I've learned my lesson. I'm not going to drive on 10 year old tires any more. Actually, I know better than that, but I wasn't sure of the age of the tires, they looked brand new, but they were just unused, (and old). So we crippled into the nearest town (one mile), unable to get a new tire. That was Sunday, then today is Memorial Day, so will wait till tomorrow and then try to fix the plumbing that the tread took out when it tore off. At least we didn't loose our Cherrio's, they were teetering on the age of the huge hole through the cabinet. But it's an adventure; we're thankful we left plenty early and can absorb this.

Dear Peter,

What a time we have been having with the car's, so greatful it was just the tire and you all are safe, I love you big brother and so does Sis, Lisi.

Be aware also she does not like to be called that as she has problems with other's and what they say. She is a wonderful person, and her heart is on her sleeve.

Suzy is coming to see us, I wish that we could go and visit the kids and all. But, Lis, can't deal with the sun, and with the cost of everything, we don't have the freedom of funds for what we would like to do.

She misses not seeing family, and wishes that it was possible. But she does not drive, and what gas I had here needed it to do what was needed, with the cost of everything. As I work but not getting paid to do so know, but it is still work.

Please take care and let's not have any more auto item's on the blog., I do worry about Lueria and her driving, but know she is a good driver, just don't like to ride with her. She drives to fast for me, as I stay with the speed limit and all.

I do love my family. I know that it is not always understood, but also be aware I grew up with respect in who we talked to the folks,...

Kid's talk different now day's, not the way we see it now, I am the old school, I guess. I heard enough and I am not a selfish person, and want to have it the way other's wish for themselves, and will see it's done, if I can.

I believe in uplefting words, to others and respect. So the tire speaks, yes!!!! It can hurt and one does not be aware, of it. I will always love my family, but also I am doing something that Jess told me, not to do, is blog., also Jess and I love everyone.

It's my birthday, so this is my birthday wish, drive safe, everyone. This has been quite the stressful few months, but all are alive.

Plan on returning to TN for Bonnies birthday, will be in the plane and get there on the 5th of July. Be there for their anniver. on the 11th of July.

Thanks for the well wishes Lili. We don't consider a flat tire much of an issue. It's just an inconvenience, that allows us to experience some new country. Have you ever driven by a town and wondered,'I wonder what that place is like?'. Hey, we got to find out. This is a nice town. Life is good.

to the old far.. i mean peter,
well this is an adventure to start all adventures. There is a reason that you do in-route inspections about every couple hundred miles. i guess that i have to teach you how to check your tires when you stop for gas or a potty break. how far did you drive before you realized you had issues? I do believe in karma, but it because you didn't get to Glendas graduation.
now go out and explore Boise.

Lili, is so right!! We do not need anymore auto issues in this family. I hope the rest of the trip is problem free and that you are enjoying Boise. Please give the kids my love and hugs. I am looking forward to pictures of the good times. Love ya both.

I do believe in Carmel however. Idaho has the worst roads so far. The people probably don't want to pay taxes around here. I did kick the tires 164 miles earlier. But your probably right, I should go to Glenda's graduation. I know, I'll go when she actually finishes her classes. BTW, I think what she's done is pretty remarkable, especially when you consider how scatter brained she is. I guess I shoulda warned you about her driving; but a miss is as good as a mile. Sighnedv-The Old Far....

Well, Peter, I'm glad that you learned your lesson. Karma or not karma it all comes around just like your tires.
I think we're all guilty of not checking the air in our car tires on a regular basis. I generally save that little job for when I need do something I really don't want to do. Wait a minute, I need to go check them..........yep, they're OK.

At least we you didn't lose your Cheerios! You probably would have had to turn around.

Jim

P.S. Yes, that was me that deleted the comment. It didn't make sense with so many typos. Can you believe it, I don't type very fast and still make a lot of errors? I guess I'm just gifted in making mistakes.

Peter, I'm glad that you guys didn't have anything worse happen. I'm glad you have Karen with you too... Don't you two feel like kids again? =)

As to car wrecks and flat tires and missing cheerios, saints preserve us! And at all costs, Spare the donuts!!! Talk about your "wheel of life!"

I am also wondering with all the tripping going on out there this summer, will anyone actually be coming to Crescent City in August or should I hold off on making all that potato salad? All who are still figuring on coming, please email us and let's get a count, please?
