Being sick has its perks!!!

This was the best sick day I've ever been sick. I took a half day off work today. This gizzard ailment isn't all bad. I was able to watch Gonzo at their house this morning while Claudia caught 20 more winks. While we had a mild mind meld going on I think he told me that he wants to build a house with me. Our connection was pretty strong but I still thought that was a pretty odd thing for a newborn to convey. What do you think?
Tomorrow I have a big day ahead of me. I must go around the neighborhood and show everyone his pictures.

They brought him over this evening and we got our evening fix.

Yea, pretty cool. I can tell that youall can't stand the little whippersnapper. I agree with Dick, he probably did say tree house. Way up in the pines.

Love the slide show. Your love is so strong it really comes through. You will be gettting a box soon. You may want to keep some cloths at your house for as often as Gonzo will be there. Right after I sent those, I found somemore cute things so will send them off soon. Love you guys

I know the kids wanted a tree house in the redwood in the driveway, but the project never got off the ground. The tree did but the house part didn't. And, that is when they were 16 and 18 years old. I guess I need to start drawing up some treehouse plans.

Sandi, is ahead of the curve as far as getting baby stuff. She's already bought a baby car seat, at least it will be functional. I think the box said from newborn to 60 pounds. Then, I called her yesterday afternoon and she said she was at Wal-Mart shopping. "For what?" I asked. Diapers, we NEED diapers, she said. Of course she 'happened' to wander through the baby department and ended up with more than just diapers. This woman is past the point of no return.

Hi everyone,

Gramma Sandi checking in for the weekend visit. Just got back from seeing my little lover-boy/cutie pie/sweet cheek/wee little bundle of something sweet. OMG I'm in LOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Woooooo weeee baby, am I one gone chick. I can't even stand MY SELF and still I can't quit. Let me tell you: I'm stupid with it, just dripping with it and I could NOT be happier to be such a fool.

I'm trying really really hard to talk to you about something else, but like I said, well, yeah.

We had a big scare with our big yellow dog. When we got home Monday night from the hospital, he was listless, would wag his tail, but no usual frisky excitement. Tuesday, still listless, didn't want to get out of bed. Wednesday we took him to the vet. He kept him overnight because he had a bad fever and couldn't hold food or water down. I thought maybe he swallowed a tennis ball or something. Come to find out Friday, he'd gotten Salmon Poisoning. Raw salmon is deadly poison to dogs. He must have gotten into a pile when we were out on the beach with Lamb Chop. Still not sure how it happened, but the vet said that we got him to the hospital in time. 2 days of IV antibiotics and oral for the next couple of weeks. He came home this morning. Laid around in the sun all day, and is pretty darn chipper this evening! YAY!

That guy is our real buddy and we'd both be devastated if we were to lose him! YIKES, can't hardly bear to even type that. So anyway, all's well that ends well.

We have my mom visiting (to see great grandson number 1) and we are all enjoying life. No real plans, the sweet little dumpling sets the agenda. I call myself Grandma Bassinet, cuz all I wanna do is hold HIM! Wow. I'm so in love. Did I tell you he's the cutest, sweetest baby ever? =)

Wow Sandi, you really do have it bad! How would you be if Gonzo weren't just the 7th cutest baby on earth?
