No baby yet.......

Andrew and Rachael brought their telescope over tonight and we looked at the stars and moon. It was really clear and cool, maybe even a little on the cold side. As you can see there are only 6 Hoopers present, the 7th is still hidden. Maybe this will inspire Claudia! As it stands they are going down to Eureka tomorrow afternoon and the doctor will induce labor. I'm not really sure how long it takes after that, but I know it will be soon. We're all taking the day off work on Monday. Can you tell I'm excited?

Can't wait ... I know you guys are close, like my kids and I; but can you beleive it ... I think I'm crazier about my gr. kids even more then my own kids. They are my happiness and joy of life. Since my boys went back to AZ ; I feel empty and sad. Once you've shared your life with those g. kids, you always see them as the little ones you held and loved. I am so glad you are going to be able to be close and share that wonderful part of life. You are so blessed to be so close to your kids, as I am.

Sorry, I deleted comment.
Jim and Sandi, Rick and I are excited for you.
Does Claudia have family close that are able to share in their joy? Have they picked out a name?

After loosing Ben, it is so wonderful to be able to welcome a new member into our family. I know he would be excited for you.

BJ is slightly frantic again. April's grandmother that fell and broke her hip around Christmas and went into the hospital on Christmas Day Passed away last night about 7 pm. BJ just called to ask what was the price we paid as the funeral home in Mt. Shasta wants to charge an arm and leg for the cremation. Poor kid has a lot on his shoulders right now. He is hanging in there tho and great support for April and her mom, Sandy. I am so proud of him and how he is trying to help out. He really is a good kid with such a kind heart. I think we all did well with our children. They have grown up into great people. That is as much as we can ask.

I hope you all get that grand child soon. We had a lot of false starts. Even with induction. They should do well. Let us know the joyous news soon.

Love to all.

sorry to hear about Aprils mom. if BJ is anything like Ben, i think he will be a strength to April. That makes 3 people that i am aware of that have passed on this holiday season. It for sure has been a lousy holiday.

It was April's Grandmother. I am sure that her mom won't be long following her. She has been taking care of Ona for the last 17 years and the last 2 BJ and April have been helping her. Sandy, April's mom, has had several strokes in the last 2 years and has lost the use of her left arm. When BJ is not working he had grandma sitting duty along with the girls. At least they are big enough now to be able to really help when needed.

There has been several other people here in the valley that has passed in the last month. This seems to be the time of the "end of the cycle".

How are you? I woke up thinking that I hadn't seen you post for a while and thought that I need to call you to see how you are. More snow I take it. Ours is leaving slowly and soaking in good. Dusted last night but not much. Just a lot of freezing cold.

Teresa took the kids home yesterday so they can get back to school today. they are growing up so fast.

Everyone have a good day and Happy New Year. May it be better than the last.

Love Illa

Sorry to hear of April's grandmother. Life is coming at BJ too quickly. It's hard to hear of a person's passing. I think Illa said it a right, "the end of the cycle."

jess lost one of his coffee buddies from cancer, just before the new year, that made 2 in the coffee group, in 2008, it's been quite a year so far that makes 3 from the group, all with cancer. There seems to be a lot of loss from cancer, it seems to be high both in Longview and St. Helens, on reason I wish to leave it, they are doing studies here in both locations, ....

I am sorry to hear about BJ and April's loss. Boy, he is really getting hit this season! I know that he will be a strength for April's family...I mean look at the two who raised him! He has had great lessons in the area of strength and perseverance.

Love you guys.

Please tell April and BJ that our hearts go out to them. I feel sad for them, as I know how close I was to my grandparents and I still miss them all, 25-30 years since their passing.
