Touchdown!!!!!

No, I think we just won the game. No, we won the Superbowl. Sandi is crazy in love with our little Gonzo. In fact, she took a day off, a "sick day" to help "watch" Gonzo today. The nerve of that woman!! I may call in sick tomorrow.

Claudia is amazing!!! She is a very natural, calm mother. Randy is everything we wanted in a son. He loves his wife and the gift that she gave him. Gonzo is going to be loved.

Randy, Claudia, and Gonzo came over tonight. Sandi's mom and Dave, her husband, also arrived from Cloverdale tonight. So, we had a nice little family gathering, everyone ogling over the star of the show. I don't think my feet have touched the ground since he was born. Everyone I run into I ask, "Do you want to see some really cute baby pictures, MY grandson?" Some of them are imperfect strangers, but I don't care. It's their loss if they walk away from me. Even though they think I'm crazy, I'm really not. Sorry, I was just having an endorphin rush.

This all sounds perfectly normal to me. In fact, I'd probably be good if Sandi took a sabbatical and helped Claudia and Randy get Gonzo through his formative years. Ya see, what you want to do is make sure Claudia is so stress free, she wants to have lots more babies.

It's so wnoderful seeing the kid's on the blog., it's great to see the kids, and grandkid's. Please all other's join in on this. This blog., is not just the brother's & sister's, so we can see the children and their children.... With those that do not have contact, it is wonderful to see all of you kids.

I would bet that Gonzo has not slept 1 hour in his own bed. That could be good or bad as they get older but at this age I think that is good as they need the contact just as much as we do. Has Claudia's mom been able to spend much time with them? Is she close in the area? I can see that the kids have plenty of available babysitters. Which is always cool as they will need a night out now and again which they should take advantage of. That was something Ben complained about that we didn't have time for us anymore after the kids came. They always came first then us. Couples need a few hours just for them now and again. Even if it is dinner out, a movie or walking on the beach.

Love you guys. Illa

wow, how you describe your love for your son and daughter in law is so sweet. Your grandson is going to love you as grandparents. Good for you being so close to your son. I hope my son and I have a relationship like you have for your son. I will be like you at the hospital not missing a min. You have a great family and it show with your hard work raising him. Hugs and love congrads to everyone :)

I can't really believe that these same feelings can carry on, but I'll enjoy them as long as they last. People around me say that I'm glowing, in fact, it probably looks like I just had cosmetic surgury to make a permanent smile. Sandi doesn't need much

encouragement to this not working thing and taking care of Gonzo. She's trying to figure out how to make it happen as I speak. She's now responding to all those offers on TV about working from home and making millions of dollars. Not really, I just made that part up.

Lucky for us and Claudia's mom we all live close. When I was "sick" yesterday morning watching Gonzo, she came over just as I was leaving. Gonzo has been sleeping in bed with Randy and Claudia. Our kids slept in our bed until they were about 2.

Yeah, I'm a firm believer in having babies close to you. When they finally decide to sleep in their own bed, you'll know that they are ready. Keep 'em close. I guarantee you that they won't want to sleep with you when they're adults!

Claudia's mom is really close, and she has a sister and brother in town too. We are all taking turns. There is usually a line 3 people deep to hold the little fellah.

I want you to know that Jim really DID take his camera over to the neighbors last night to show them the photos. We each took a day off from work to "help Claudia" (read: hold the baby).

I've got great granny stories to share with you. Email me if you want more.

Come on down, there's plenty of loving to go 'round. ;)
