Thanksgiving at the Garcia's and most importantly BJ's and April's WEDDING DAY

We had a great day. Ben was not able to come to the table but we set a place for him anyway. the whole family was there. At least Ben was able to see all the kids and visit for a while. BJ and April told Ben their news in that they are Engaged. As we know that Ben most likely will not make a Civil Service, we had a Celtic Handfasting so that he would be able to be present at their Union. It was quick and spur of the moment but at least he was able to see it and be included. They will do the Civil Ceremony at a later date when we are all able to be present.

Pictures to follow as soon as I can figure this stupid thing out.

With LOVe from ALL of us.

Ben, Illa,
Teresa, Adam, Athena, Merlin,
BJ, April, Sam, Liz

Dear Illa, so wonderful, and she seems such a nice person, let her know we love to see her joining the family and her children. I look forwards to welcoming her in.

We had a wonderful time with Suzy and saw Joyce and Ed and the families.

Suzy has invited us for Christmas and seeing if Joyce and Ed can join us. It was a wonderful time and visit. It was great having all the sister's together, missed Jo Anne, though.

Lisi loved getting out of town and seeing family, it was a joy for her to visit Joyce and Ed. Love to all... Jess and Lili

Welcome, April! Yes, we need an April in the family. It looks like it was a very happy and joyous occasion. Here's a cheer to many long and happy years together! This is the best news I've heard in a long time.

WOW! This is a great time to announce the good news. Congratulations to BJ and April. I am so glad Ben got to participate in the event. Illa, thanks for the pictures...your house looks so homey and comfy. I felt like I could settle right in with you!! I'm glad there was a pic of you carving the turkey..I hardly ever get pics of my daughter in law because she is always the one taking pictures. By the way - how is BJ's new job?

BJ has been working for about 3-4 weeks now. He clerks at the local gas station mini-mart in McCloud. It is a few blocks from their house. He works 6 hours a day 4-5 days a week. He likes it really well. Especiall the 2 mid shifts. He isn't quite ready to open or close yet but he will get there.

I am glad that he got work. Now that he definitely has a family to help provide for. I know it was really bothering him that he didn't have a job. So now, just pray that he keeps on going and while doing it he looks for something more permanent. But as I keep telling him, a job is a job. Do anything that give you some money. Even if you don't like it. Jobs are so hard to come by now a days. And they have their house that they are buying. It isn't fancy but the first one shouldn't be. It should be what you can afford. It is a 3 bedroom mobile home in a park. It is $75.00 a month more than what they were paying in rent. And that include the park space. So that isn't too bad.
