We met them at Battery Point Lighthouse this morning. They're parked in our driveway for tonight at least and Ben and Illa are staying in the apartment.
Illa, Thanks so much for posting the picture, it's so great to you guys enjoying the day. I took Amy to the airport today. She was going to post everyone but my computor went on the blink. Had to buy a new one. I'll send her the info on how to get on the blog. LOL
Ben looks so happy!! I am so grateful that he has gotten to "smell the perfume of the sea!!" Thanks for the picture. Keep them coming. Bonnie, it is Jim that posted and I want you to know that I am praying for you because I know it will be so hard without Amy. Lydia left for AZ again on the 20th and I was depressed for 2 weeks!
So wonderful to see that big, smile on Ben. I am so glad he's made it down here, or should I say over. I wish Lueria could have made it, but know how busy she is. I love to see her on the blog..
It has been good to be here. Even with the weather. It has been great to drive along the shore and role down the window and let the roar and rain come in and take pictures. Ben actually managed to get out and walk down to the beach at Battery Point today. Yesterday he was too tired from the trip. It is good that so many people were able to come. It was a good birthday party at Jim's. Tomorrow night we are going to stay in a RV Park by the harbor so that Ben can feel the wind rocking the trailer. Then Friday night we plan to move on down the coast and head for Azeala Beach RV Park and then Patrick's Point State Park. Maybe spend the night there. It took us 2 days to come over so it might take two to get back. We have to have the grandkids back on Sunday evening so will probably stay somehwhere around Weaverville or something like that if we can't stay at Patrick's Point. Ben is holding up pretty well all things considering.
He asked me today when we were standing on the beach "now what". I told him that now we take it a day at a time. My plan was to get him to the ocean and that was as far as I had planned. We had a lot of battles to fight to get him here but here he is.
So, now we enjoy!! It was good to get to see Little Joe too. He is on vacation for about another week or so. So I am sure we will get to see him again.
Well, It is time to get to sleep. Thank you all for everything.

Hey, Jim, is that little Joe behind Teresa?
Yep, that's "Little Joe." It was raining, blustery, and cool. Ben was loving it.

The fact that I'm short makes "Little Joe" look even bigger, huh? *chuckle* Dad's really happy to be here.
