I lost the bet.

Peter, you won't need to share because I'm going to buy Ben and Illa a dozen donuts too when things get back to normal. So, Ben, get your strength back and get ready for some donuts...or eclairs. Just feel better.
Love, Jim

Ok, I think we should share all the Éclairs at the Coast Reunion, which, BTW, Karen and I are voting for. BnI will have to share their donuts with Dick. Anyone heard from Suzie and Darryl?

As far as I know, they were in Redding Saturday visiting Ben. It sounded like he was really glad to see Her. He has got to be really lonesome as well as bored laying there all day. But he does need the rest to recouperate. His body has really been stressed out. I hate to add to it with the exercise but it has to be done to keep things in working order. Have I told you how much he hates being told what to do?? I have told him he can give me all the dirty looks and sass back all he wants but he is going to do it anyway. He will be a hand full for the nurses when he does get better. I think all of us hate to be weak or seen to be weak. Got to go get ready. My pills have started to work so now can move around. Oh for the days when you could get ready for work in 10-15 minutes. This hour and a half sucks but that is how long it takes the pain pills to kick in. Lucky that I live less than 5 minutes from work. See you later and hope to have an update on Ben. Those of you that see him that can post please do. Thank you for taking the time to cheer him up. Lots of Love from ME and I am sure from Ben.

I will personally commit to buying Illa anything she wants to eat as well as giving her a nice dark quiet place to sleep if we can just get Ben to bring her over here... I don't have very good pain pills though, so you'll have to bring them with you guys, but I've got the grub and the peace part covered. This is a great place to recover.

hang in there girl.

I am hanging in. Only thing I can do. I am moving slower. So glad to have that tub to soak in.

I am giving away tons of vegies. Lots of corn and zucchini. The corn is really ready and it sucks that I will not be able to put up any. Ben is going to miss it. I am also sharing it with some 4 legged creatures. Last night there were 4 young deer in the garden. I didn't see them while I was moving, banging and throwing things around. I walked out of the shop after cleaning out the tools from the car and there they were. 3 did not have horns but the other was a forked horn buck. I tried to get pictures with the cell phone but they are sort of fuzzy. It was cool that they are coming around again. The big mountain cats in the hills keep the herds thinned down.

So when we come to the coast, which will be next spring at the soonest, God willing, we will share all the donuts that you want.
I know that Ben would like to spend as much time on the beach as he can. He likes mountians but the beach holds the greatest fasination for him. Me too for that matter. We would love to spend a few days with you all. We really don't care for crab tho. Now shrimp is another matter. It is strange that Ben doesn't care much for fish but he does like shrimp.

Must be genetic; I don't like crab (or lobster) either, but love shrimp and white fish. I talked to Glenda and Dick and they filled me in. Oh, happy birthday Suzie on the twenty-third. Illa, we continue to pray for Ben, but we are also praying for you and the kids too.
