Wisdom for Life and Relationships

Dear Family; Here are some guidelines the entire world should follow,

From Jesus, the creator of the universe: Mt 7:12 "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them"

This from Isaac Newton, arguably the most intelligent man who ever lived, "Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy." ; "We build too many walls and not enough bridges."

From Solomon the wisest person who ever lived: Pr 26:20 Where no wood is, [there] the fire goeth out: so where [there is] no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

From Mahandas Gandhi: Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err.

From George Washington, the greatest politician who ever lived:Take all admonitions thankfully in what time or place soever given, but afterwards, not being culpable, take a time & place convenient to let him know it that gave them.

Wherein you reprove another be unblameable yourself, for example is more prevalent than precepts.

This last one's for Dick, also from George Washington

AND -Kill no vermin as fleas, lice, ticks &c in the sight of others; if you see any filth or thick spittle, put your foot dexteriously upon it; if it be upon the clothes of your companions, put it off privately; and if it be upon your own clothes, return thanks to him who put it off.

Love Peter
